A Review on Analysis of Gear

Mahima Payala

Abstract

In this paper we will discuss about the structure and function of gear and analysis of gear. We will go over the many types of gears and how they work in this post. Gears are toothed mechanical transmission elements that convey motion and power between machine components. In industry, gears and their mechanical qualities are commonly employed to transmit motion and power in mechanical devices such as clocks, instruments, and equipment, as well as to reduce or increase speed and torque in motorized devices such as automobiles, motorcycles, and machines. Gear form, tooth construction and design, and gear pair arrangement are all design aspects that help define and categorize the many distinct types of gears available. Each of these gears has its own set of advantages and disadvantages, but the requirements and specifications of a specific motion or power transmission application determine which gear is appropriate for the job.
