Abstract

An analysis has been carried out to investigate the chemical reaction effects on unsteady hydromagnetic free convection flow of a viscous, incompressible, electrically conducting fluid with heat and mass transfer past an inclined moving surface embedded in porous medium with time dependent suction in the presence of thermodiffusion and heat source in a slip flow regime. Slip flow conditions for the velocity, jump in temperature and jump in concentration are taken into account in the boundary conditions. The free stream velocity is considered to follow an exponentially small perturbation law. The governing partial differential equations are reduced to a system of ordinary differential equations which are solved analytically using perturbation technique. The solutions for velocity, temperature and concentration are obtained. Further, the results of the skin friction coefficient and dimensionless rate of heat and mass transfer at the plate are also presented. The effects of several physical parameters on the above flow quantities are discussed in detail with the help of graphs. It is inferred from the graphs that the velocity increases due to the effects of velocity ratio parameter, thermodiffusion parameter and slip parameter due to velocity whereas the velocity decreased by chemical reaction parameter, slip parameter due to jump in temperature and jump in concentration.
