A Review on AWJM of Ti Alloy
Abstract
It has seen that in last few years there is rapid growth in the development of harder, difficult to machine metals and alloys, which are being created. AWJM is a recently developed non-traditional machining process that can be used to cut, high strength and hard materials. This paper will give detailed information about the Multi-response Optimization in AWJM of Titanium alloy (Ti-6Al-4V) and using TOPSIS and prediction with the help of ANN in MATLAB software. This technique will be performed and a multi-response performance index of depth of penetration (DOP), material removal rate (MRR), kerf geometry, surface roughness (SR) will be calculated. After the calculation, the results will be compared and the technique giving the best results will be used. Process parameters such as traverse rate (TR), stand-off distance (SOD), abrasive flow rate (AFR), and water jet pressure (WJP) will be considered while calculation of multi-response performance index (MRPI). These input process parameters and the results obtained from the techniques are used to predict the output and prediction is performed by making using ANN in MATLAB software.
