Abstract

Ever changing environmental concern has a tremendous strain on energy consumption and its utilization. So, the new era demands something sustainable and affordable means of energy resource. Our work establishes a genuine concern of addressing the need of the hour by optimally utilizing solar energy and integrating that with human effort through bicycle pedal. ES-bicycle provides an alternative source for fuel by utilizing solar energy to charge battery thus provides voltage to the hub-motor. Our work compromises fabrication of ES-bicycle which uses solar energy and kinetic energy as the source. There is also a provision for charging the battery by ejecting it from the main system. The charge acquired from the battery can be used to run the bicycle which gives affordability, less pollution and better comfort compared to the conventional vehicles.
