Analysis of Noise of Turbo Generators in Thermal Power Plants using TOPSIS

SAURAV NANDI, Debamalya Banerjee, Somnath Gangopadhyay, Titas Nandi

Abstract

The turbo generator units in thermal power plants are mainly responsible for affecting the workers with the acoustic noise generated while generating electrical power. For any operating industry to operate and for its development requires a good amount of power, so it’s necessary to identify the conditions of these generating units regarding these noise levels so that the effects on the workers can be minimised without affecting the output of the machines. Thus in this paper we have shown how we can identify the conditions of the turbo generators of different capacity and at different seasons of the year with consideration of the noise factors using TOPSIS methodology.
