Design and Construction of an Automatic Error Detector Machine

Risat Rimi Chowdhury, Md. Rafiquzzaman

Abstract

Today’s industrial environments are moving toward automation. This results in improving item quality, accuracy, productivity and to diminish item cost. Error identification of products is an exceptionally troublesome modern process. Persistent manual detection generates consistency issues. The purpose of this project was to design and fabricate a working prototype for an automatic error detector machine. It demonstrates the idea of an ordinary conveyor belt, but with some intelligence. This main mechanism of the machine works by detecting the distance of materials in a certain height in the conveyor utilizing ultrasonic sensor and microcontroller breaks down this information -- depending upon the height of materials, the servo motor isolates the materials, height-wise. SolidWorks model was used to produce a detailed design of the error detector machine. The entire system helps to avoid size malfunctioning in production machines, thus it is flexible and efficient. It can be utilized for an assortment of purposes and in different places like scrap management in any industry, quality control, packaging and so on.
