Abstract

These Science's study of behaviour at extremely low temperatures is known as cryogenics. A cryogenic vessel is a type of pressure vessel used to store liquid oxygen, nitrogen, or argon under specific pressure requirements. For static analysis on the pressure vessel, design study of single- and multi-layered
cryogenic shells with minimum bulk under strength restrictions for a cylinder subjected to axial loading has been explored. A cryogenic fluid needs to be kept and distributed after it has been sufficiently liquefied and purified. The increasing usage of cryogenic liquids in several technical and scientific fields has led to significant advancements in the design of cryogenic fluid storage tanks and transfer lines. In recent years, there has been a lot of study on cryogenic technologies. Cryogenic technology is concerned with low temperatures and the devices used to produce, store, and utilize low-temperature fluids. With the vast applications of cryogenic fluid and the problems associated with it, such as holding a minimum temperature for an extended period of time, it becomes critical to store the cryogenic fluid with utmost care.
