Structural Analysis of Trolley Body

Sai Sandeep illuri

Abstract

The importance of structural analysis for trolley bodies or other machine bodies is that it serves as a
foundation for structural design and determines if a certain structural designwill be able to handle
external and internal loads and pressures. Generally, the trolleys are used in wide range for many
purposes which carries out the work of carrying loads from one place to another. Analysis for trolley
body is mostly demanded because of the high usage for various purposes. Many models of trolleys are
being developed in the recent decades. Some models are used for carrying heavy loads where the
structural analysis plays a major role to analysis the performance. The structural analysis aids in the
identification ofthe reason of a structural breakdown. The structural analysis goal is to create a
structure with the right amount of strength, safety, and stiffness. It will then be possible to size the
member and its details, as well as the joints. Here, structural analysis of this body is carried out in
fusion 360 to validate a number of factors, including the safety factor, stress, displacement, reaction
force, strain, and contact pressure. Structural analysis is a method of calculating a structure's
deformations, internal forces, stresses, support responses, accelerations, and stability using applied
mechanics, materials science, and applied mathematics. The study findings are utilized to certify the
suitability of a structure for usage, usually without the requirement for physical inspections. As a result,
structural analysis plays a crucial role in structural engineering design. This paper discusses the
structural study of a stair climbing trolley.
