Combustion Analysis and Simulation of JP-8 Fuel in 4 Stroke CI Engine

Abstract


The article presents the examine effects of an engine operating with diesel fuel no. 2 and JP-8 fuel at its blend volume of 20, 35, 50 and 100 percentage. As the different blending percentages changes the properties of air fuel ratio. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of using JP-8 fuel blends and diesel no.2 on the start of injection, ignition delay, combustion history, heat release, engine performance, and exhaust emissions. The engine performance parameters were examined at 2200 rpm, at loads. The new fuel mixtures were created at room temperature. The study of the JP-8 is a good source for power generation in a diesel engine on the basis of its combustion characteristics.
