Abstract

In modern passenger cars a-pillar plays an important role in passive safety by minimizing the deformation of passenger compartment during the accidents. present day passenger cars a-pillars are designed in several ways like A1-pillar, A2-pillar for reducing the blind spot but, it doesn’t fulfill the abstraction angle of the pillar for vision. To achieve this abstraction angle for driver, requirement such as safety and vehicle crush. This study directly focuses on the problem of blind spots generated by interruptions in the field of view by the A-pillar intersection. A-Pillar cross section of modern vehicles is generally wider. This wider cross section acts as obstruct to driver and also it is decreasing the aerodynamic noise by flow of wind shield. Due to these reasons there is a need to design a-pillar for increasing strength by carbon fiber reinforced polymers [CFRP] with instructional section of transparent glass. By using the modeling software tools such as Catia, Ansys.
