Design and Fabrication of Automated Sanitization Machine

Abstract


With the birth of Coronavirus, the meaning of sanitization changed dramatically, literally changing
our mindset regarding personal hygiene. No one used to think much about it, and after the COVID-19
Pandemic, sanitization had become everyone's primary concern, regardless of age, gender, or
location. The entire world became aware of the importance of proper sanitation practices. Sanitation
of the nearby premises is thus accomplished through a manual process, which has proven difficult for
the person operating the machine in contaminated areas. Spraying, cleaning, and disinfection
products have also been linked to respiratory problems in professional cleaners and sanitation
workers. And also, the manual sanitization work is a time-consuming process that is associated with
exposure to the infected surrounding. And also, the workers have to be equipped with PPE Kit and
mask which may reduce the work efficiency of workers. So, our project is to design an automatic and
self-operating sanitization machine by incorporating a sanitization machine and an automated guided
system. So that the machine can self-navigate and sanitize its surroundings.
