DESIGN AND ANALYSIS OF A FORMULA STUDENT ELECTRIC VEHICLE DRIVETRAIN.

Piyush v. Talwalkar, Aditya D Jadhav, Prof Vishal Bhagat

Abstract

Sprocket, axle, and differential are sections of the powertrain/drivetrain component of a vehicle that are the subject of this project's overall design process and analysis. At the project's conclusion, the entire drivetrain has been assembled. The procedure entails designing a part with the precise and accurate SOLIDWORKS software, then eliminating flaws and improving the product.. Analysis of the components such as Sprocket, Axle is done using the accurate values on the ANSYS software by using the best suitable and lightweight Material which also has a high load bearing capacity.. The component was created for Team PRAHAAR RACING's Formula Student car. It includes the capacity to be manually modified to improve the car's performance in accordance with the demands of a particular dynamic event and has been developed to operate seamlessly in all dynamic settings. A comparison has been done between 45 teeth Sprocket and 50 teeth Sprocket and according to the Analysis report 45 teeth Sprocket has been chosen here as per the Motor selected and performance of the car.
