Abstract

Drying is the process of removing moisture from a food also at the same point heat and mass transfer. It is a classical process of for food preservation, that helps to transport the more weight with very less storage space. So this project is chosen to store the more amount of food in very space, as open sun drying is carried out all over the world, but it has some problem of abomination of pollution, dirt, germs, infections, etc. by insect and other animals. Therefore, the drying is done in closed equipment protected from all surrounding infections. This project showcases the design, construction and working of flat plate solar dryer for food conserving. Here to increase the efficiency of whole process a double pass system is used in collector. The air passes through the collector double pass system with the help of fans.
