Abstract

Today, the issue of occupant safety is one of the most important issues in the automotive industry. One
of the most important factors in improving the braking performance of cars has been considered in the
article is the use of auxiliary brakes. Among the common auxiliary brakes that were proposed in cars
and used by experimental test, we can mention retarder brakes. Used in heavy vehicles in passenger
cars will also be widely used by this article. The main use of retarders is to maintain the speed or slow
down the car, but this system is by no means designed to stop the car completely. Retarders play an
important role in this issue, and in this article, a new plan was discussed that increases the safety of
passengers up to 40 %. In passenger automotive, due to limited space, the possibility of using different
types of retarders was somewhat impossible; But in this design, this problem was solved. In this
article, a retarder in the automotive was used to reduce the wear of brake parts. According to the
design, the use of the retarder in passenger automotive was proposed as the fifth wheel. According to
the research, road accidents were installed in the experimental work of the retarder as the fifth wheel
in the automotive. This idea is completely exclusive and new in passenger automotive. The obtained
diagrams will show the percentage of increase in safety in automotive. These diagrams have basic
research in experimental work. In the design, it can be added using the proposed system. In case of
failure of the automotive electric generator, it will replace the electric generator using the retarder
addition system.
