Fabrication of Mechanical Raking Beach Cleaner with Offset Tine
Abstract
In the rapidly changing world &
swift urbanization, cleaning and maintaining
clean beaches are of equal importance.
Beaches are a natural resource that in recent
years has been turned into Garbage Dump.
Termed as "Beach Pollution" it mainly
occurs due to the human activities along the
coastline and inland which threatens the
very human existence & Marine health.
Such pollution is generally categorized into
Litter/Trash, Seaweed, Oil spill, Stone/shell
& many more. In the same context, we have
developed the method to utilize mechanical
raking with offset tine in the beach cleaner
machines. We aim to clean beaches with a
raking method with no sand erosion. We
have previously heard about different
campaigns organized on a suo motto basis at
various beaches. The outcome is pretty
attractive but is short-lived due to the
extensive involvement of human labor. It's
next to impossible for people to gather in
numbers and set out campaigns to clean the
beaches on a regular basis. This can be
solved by our project which aims to deploy
mechanical machines for the pollution
rescue of the beaches. The main use of
offset tines is to properly collect the garbage
from the sand and to dispose it off into the
garbage collector placed at the backside of
the chassis of the MRBC.
