An Overview of Performance Characteristics of Orange Peel Oil and its Blends: A Review

R.S.M. Swaroop Sharma

Abstract

Nonrenewable energy sources are depleting day by day. At present the need of hour is to find a solution to acute crisis of power and excess usage of automobiles. These resources are at alarming state. The emissions of exhaust gases from automobiles are leading to increase in greenhouse gases. Hence, the researchers are working on various green fuels such as various biodiesels due to its less emissions of exhaust gases like NOx, CO, HC, etc., Out of which orange peel oil is providing a pavement for a clean biodiesel as a substitute for diesel fuel. The engine can run with orange peel oil biodiesel without any modifications. This review has been taken up based on some of the research papers on performance characteristics of orange peel oil with different blends.
