In this paper, the PDXpert engineering data management software utilized for case study in the domain of Product data management (PDM) of product lifecycle management (PLM) in a small scale foundry. The implementation of PDM helped the manufacturers to manage the information traditionally contained in engineering documents, plant floor routings, change orders, sales orders and quality documentation, within a single solution that shared across the enterprise. Also, improved the accessibility and security of design, production, and quality and support data.References
