Abstract

Composite material provide a Higher and unique mechanical and physical attributes  because  of its combines the most unique  attributes of its composition while underlying their least advantageous  attributes . Composites have been widely used in various application starting from aerospace  , Manufacturing plants  , Electrical equipment's , Marine  , Automotive ,Civil Infrastructure , Corrosive Environment’s  ,Whereas the Epoxy which are the cured components of two chemical functional group namely polyepoxides or commonly known as polymers . When Epoxy resins cured with nano Composites materials the cross linked reacted and formed homopolymeriation ( A process of Curing )      The present work is focused on analysis and influence of Nano clay on the mechanical behavior of polymers like Epoxy and Polyester. Different types of Nano composites are fabricated using 5 wt. % and 10 wt. % Nano clay with 95 wt. % and 90 wt. % epoxy and polyester respectively. The Nano composites are fabricated as per the ASTM standards. The hardness and tensile tests are conducted. The results were fairly good with the reinforcement of 5 wt. % of Nano clay and further increase in the Nano clay percentage did not yield better results. Later Epoxy and Polyester are mixed and stirred with each other in different wt. % and cured to form a polymer polymer blend and the results showed that the higher wt. % of epoxy and polyester has the tendency of forming a better and fully cured blend. On solidifying the fabricated Nano Composites shows a strength amount of increase in mechanical Strength and many other mechanical Attributes which has been discussed in paper below.
