Extrapolative Model to Simulate Sodium Absorption Ratio Concentration in Groundwater Within Water Bearing Aquifer Zone

C. Ukpaka, J. C. Ozota

Abstract

The purpose of the evaluation presented in this article is centered on developing mathematical model that will be used to monitor and predict sodium absorption ratio concentration within the water bearing aquifer zone of Obite City groundwater in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni L.G.A., Rivers State, Nigeria. The mathematical model developed is given as, SAR=0.04e^(0.11x )+ 0.13e^(-0.11x ), the developed model is considered useful in predicting SAR concentration value of Obite City groundwater. Upon validation of experimental and predictive values of sodium absorption ratio estimated, the coefficient of determination of 〖 R〗^2=0.629 were estimated.
