Study of the Electrode Wear Rate (EWR) Using Main Effect Plots in Dielectric Discharge Machining

Vishal Pathania

Abstract

This paper predicts electrode wear rate versus current, duty factor, ton with glycerin solution using stationary electrode and rotating electrode. Also predict the EWR versus current, duty factor, ton for EDM oil using stationary electrode and rotating electrode. After that observations derived from the main effect plots for EWR. Main effects plots have been observed to study the EWR of stationary electrode and rotating electrode using EDM oil and glycerine solution.
