Abstract

An aerofoil is defined as the cross section of the body that is placed in an air stream in order to produce a useful aerodynamic force in the most efficient manner possible. The cross section of winds, windmill blades, propeller blades, compressor and turbine blades in a jet engine, and hydrofoils are examples of aerofoils. The aerodynamic airfoils of wind turbine blades have crucial influence on aerodynamic efficiency of wind turbine. The geometry of aerofoils is created and computational fluid dynamic (CFD) analysis carried out. In this work, flow analysis of aerofoil (NACA 2414) was investigated. Drag power and lift power just as the general weight dissemination over the aerofoils were likewise dissected. By changing the approach, variety in various parameters has been watched. The result of this examination has appeared and figured by utilizing ANSYS workbench 14.5. The pressure distributions, as well as coefficient of lift-to-drag ratio of these aerofoils, was visualized and compared. The whole analysis is solely based on the principle of CFD and practical experiment in wind tunnel. Finally, different parameters, i.e. drag and lift coefficients, pressure distribution over the airfoils, were compared.
