Kinematic Cage Wheel with Reduced Stresses and Improved Factor of Safety

Abstract


India is a country where most of the people depend on the agriculture and there is need for the improvement of the agriculture techniques. The present study deals with the kinematic cage wheel with reduced stresses and improved factor of safety. Here, we have taken the convectional cage wheel of Mahindra 475. Previously, we have developed a design of kinematic cage wheel which have produced the stresses more than yield stress. To rectify this problem, we have modified the design of kinematic cage wheel by changing the structural dimensions of the linkages. But still the work has not given results up to the mark so further modifications have been done. The present study deals with kinematic cage wheel with reduced stresses and improved factor of safety. This kinematic cage wheel mechanism is described, analyzed and evaluated in our project. The numerical analysis is carried via finite element analysis using solid works software and compared the results of stresses, displacement and strain of conventional cage wheel and modified kinematic cage wheel with the newly designed kinematic cage wheel. The aim of this project is to prove that newly designed kinematic cage wheel has sufficient strength to with stand fluctuating loads when compared to that of convectional cage wheel and modified kinematic cage wheel.
