Dynamics and Analysis of Rectangular Rotor Blades

Namita Tiwari

Abstract

This study investigates the three-dimension methods for modeling helicopter rotor blade. Natural frequencies are calculated at various rotor angular speeds for a large variety of blades ranging from simple isotropic beams to a realistic composite blade. Then using this model, the static strength and dynamic features of rotor blade has been analyzed RCAS rotorcraft comprehensive analysis. During the analysis of dynamic characteristic, the influence of aerodynamic force and centrifugal force applying to blade has been totally considered. Additionally, the resonant chart of rotor blade has been presented in this paper.
