Sohan Lal, Jagmail Singh

Abstract

This study provides a sharp and distinct understanding and embodiment of how Faridabad Yamaha Company in the machining industry works with improvements in general and lean in particular. This thesis introduces the development of Kaizen-based maintenance system and their immediate effects on the productivity of industry. In an exploring automobile industry, many techniques are invented and implemented to discover how an automobile manufacturer can bring down his costs, using the advance production management theories, in their existing processes. The impacts of lean thinking focus maintenance in an organisation. The need of maintenance is to align itself with the business objectives in relevant of any organisation performance measures that are important inputs to improve the productivity of organisation and maintenance, in particular, through lean tools and activities.
