Design and Fabrication of Flower Plucking Device

Abstract

Flower plucking device is one which cuts the flowers and collects them without causing any damage to the flowers. The device is extendable and can be used to cut the flowers at a height of around 3m from the ground level. The device consists of a collecting bucket which is mounted on a handle and the thread is provided for actuating the scissor or cutter, the thread is moves on a pulley which converts vertical motion to horizontal motion. One end of the tread is tied to the scissor and the other end is left free. The flowers are cut with the help of scissor provided on plucking device. The present work focused on the development of flower plucking device, which tackle the problem of picking flowers and engaging the children for this work can be avoided.
