Design and Performance Testing of Brown Grass Flower Broom Reinforced Composites

Vivek Gedam, Abhitab Dubey

Abstract

Engineering materials are classified into many varies and composites are those which are finding their role in all modern day engineering applications. Composite materials are materials made of two basic components, polymer resins and fibers. It combines the physical properties and high mechanical properties of the fiber, as well as the appearance, adhesion and performance of the polymer. Here, we prefer brown grass flower brooms as our main fiber to form composite materials. Brown grass is scientifically called Thysanolaena maxima, which comes from the family Poaceae and commonly known as kucho/amlisho, in southern Bhutanese language.
