Design Aspects of Solar Water Pump Based on Gas Equation

arun kumar

Abstract

Working of a solar pump based on gas equation is explained in this paper. The design aspect of the solar pump is being discussed by illustrating the principle. Optimum value of absorber tank volume to the pipe diameter (V/a) is found theoretically as well as experimentally for different TH/TC, which comes out to be 102 meters. Based on this optimized value of (V/a), the condition for maximum work output is found. Under this condition, for a given value of TH/TC the height to which water is to be lifted is being optimized.
